Hutcheson , USA About me : Curriculum Vitae g. dan hutcheson WildPhotons Nature Photography see my photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/wildphotons/ ABOUT MY PHOTOGRAPHY WildPhotons started as a way to illustrate my writing and presentations, which are largely about technology. WildPhotons photos are also sold separately: as limited edition fine art glice prints and as stock photos. You can find Wildphotons fine art prints gracing the homes and offices of hundreds of wonderful and respected people around the globe. Wildphotons images are taken with Digital SLRs and developed in Photoshop by the photographer. He currently uses an Eizo Adobe RGB calibration monitor to ensure the best color accuracy and largest color space possible. Prints are made with the finest papers and inks that have been chosen for their long life the best of which have been tested to last 200 years. Large prints are currently made with Hahnemuhle Fine Art 100% Cotton Rag. This paper has a matte finish, which is necessitated for longer life. It is preferred to glossy also because it renders amazing depth and realism to color nature photography. Small prints are made with Ilford Smooth Pearl. Large prints are made on a linearized and calibrated Epson 7800 printer via a Colorburst RIP (Raster Image Processor). Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) uses my Coyote photos in environmental education programs delivered throughout northern New England on subjects ranging from coyotes to moose to loons. ABOUT ME I've been taking photos since I was 8 and built my own darkroom with the help of my Dad. I almost became a pro, but my heart was in nature photography and that's a hard living. I went to college, got married, had a kid, and then life happened. My other passions are economics, high-tech, and writing; which is where I built my career. Then in 1998, when I bought a digital camera and Adobe Photoshop to see if this was going to turn into something big. I was hooked. I love digital, it's everything film never was. It favors your creative side, rather than the technical side. So, for me, it's a great release. I am happy to donate images to environmental or other good causes. Providing they reference WildPhotons.com, where I donate 10% of the proceeds to environmental and educational causes.
